Color Grading

Here is what we have to work with. We grade the creative look of a production, developing the tones, contrast and color relationships that give a film its emotional signature. Our colorists work in calibrated suites on DaVinci Resolve and Baselight systems, building looks that range from restrained naturalism to bold stylised treatments while keeping each shot steady across a sequence. We grade HDR natively on reference monitors and produce SDR trim passes for standard distribution, supporting HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG so a title looks its best on cinema screens, broadcast and streaming displays.

Here is how that works. Remote grading sessions over calibrated streaming let directors and DPs work in real time from anywhere. We set up with the conform so graded media maps cleanly to the locked timeline. We deliver masters conformed to the tech specs a Belgian theatrical, broadcast or streaming release needs across Dutch, French and English versions.

Here is the layout. Belgium's Tax Shelter has built a deep post cluster. Grading suites serve both Belgian features and overseas shoots finishing their work locally. The country's auteur cinema sets a clear visual reference: the austere realism of the Dardenne brothers, the tender palette of Lukas Dhont's 'Close', the textured warmth of Felix van Groeningen's 'The Broken Circle Breakdown' and the muted intensity of Michaël R. Roskam's 'Bullhead'. Festival finishing for Film Fest Gent and the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival demands theatrical-grade masters. We prepare DCI-aligned deliverables to those standards. For broadcast clients on VRT, RTBF and the commercial channels, graded masters meet EBU and SMPTE tech specs. Project grades, LUTs and look records are archived so the look stays steady across re-versioning and future delivery.
