Sound Design

Our team works from a spotting session to map each design chance, builds custom effects through recording, synthesis and library sourcing, and layers ambiences that place audiences inside each setting. Sound design carries huge narrative weight in genre and immersive cinema. We treat it as a creative discipline rather than a tech one, shaping how a scene feels as much as how it sounds. We deliver organised design stems to the final mix, set up with dialogue and music so the soundtrack reads as a unified whole, and conform deliverables to the loudness and tech specs a Belgian theatrical, broadcast or streaming release needs across Dutch, French and English versions.

Here is the layout. Belgium's Tax Shelter has built a deep post cluster. Sound design sits within sites handling the full audio chain from dialogue editing to the final mix. The country's outsized influence on electronic music — alongside a heritage running from Adolphe Sax to Stromae — feeds a strong culture of sonic experimentation that sound designers draw on. Genre and fantastic cinema screening at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival places specific demand on inventive design.

Here is how the work shapes up. Meanwhile, the naturalistic cinema of the Dardenne brothers and Lukas Dhont's 'Close' shows how restrained, atmospheric design can carry emotional weight. Film Fest Gent and its World Soundtrack Awards keep film audio visible across the sector. Designed elements that incorporate musical material are cleared through SABAM, broadcast deliverables for VRT, RTBF and the commercial channels are conformed to EBU R128, and design libraries are archived for re-use.
