Audio Mixing & Mastering

Here is what we have to work with. We mix and master film and television audio in calibrated rooms that balance dialogue, music and effects into a coherent, deliverable soundtrack. Our team handles the final blend, level auto and loudness conditioning that turn edited stems into a release-ready master, then prints the formats each platform needs. Broadcast deliverables are conformed to EBU R128 because VRT, RTBF and their fellow EBU members enforce those loudness specs, while theatrical masters are prepared to cinema standards and streaming versions are matched to platform targets.

Here is how that works. Belgium's three-language structure means we frequently produce parallel Dutch, French and English masters from a single mix session, making sure Flemish and Walloon audiences receive as well polished audio. We run fold-down and translation checks across cinema, broadcast and consumer playback so the master holds up everywhere, and we set up delivery specs, printmasters and stem packages with picture finishing to keep the whole post schedule aligned for on-time release.

Belgium's Tax Shelter has made the country a big post-prod hub. Audio mixing sites serve both Belgian features and global projects funding their post work locally. Productions from the Dardenne brothers, Lukas Dhont and Michaël R. Roskam have carried mixes finished on Belgian stages. The country's outsized musical heritage — from Adolphe Sax and Jacques Brel to Stromae — informs a strong culture of audio craft. Film Fest Gent, host of the World Soundtrack Awards, keeps film-music and mixing standards visible across the sector.

Here is the layout. In practice, the work is hands-on. For broadcast clients on Een, Canvas, VTM and RTL Belgium, and for streaming delivery through Streamz, our masters meet EBU loudness and tech specs. Where scored or licensed music features in a mix, rights are cleared through SABAM, the Belgian collecting society, and each final master is archived for re-versioning and future delivery needs.
